Western Baseball Leauge Closing/Clean Up: Saturday, Oct. 29
The Western Baseball League will close its facilities on Saturday, Oct. 29. Anyone able to help clean up and close the facilities for the winter is needed during the morning hours. We will be taking down the batting cage nets, closing and cleaning up the concession stand and doing general clean up on and around the fields. The more helping hands the better. Please come out and say goodbye to the 2016 season and get ready for the 2017 season.
Southington West's own, Bill Freeman, umpired the Mexico-Panama game at the Little League World Series on Thursday afternoon. Bill will umpire several games during the next 10 days. He will be behind the plate for Friday night's game at 8 p.m. on ESPN: Texas vs. Kentucky.
Congratulations to Bill: Here is a story about his invitation to umpire the 2016 Little League World Series.
